This fight should've happened 3-4-5 years ago but, I guess, as Cheech said in Ghostbusters 2 as the ghost-Titantic was pulling into NYC, "Better late than never."
Lemme get two claps and a Ric Flair

He's not anymore. 3 years ago I truly believe he was. Now, Pacquiao has proven to be beatable, and age finally may have caught up to him.
I cannot stand Mayweather. He acts like he's better than most. Despite the fact that if punching someone wasn't a career, this arrogant bagger would be working for minimum wage at your local walmart. He has one skill. Unfortunately it pays well.

This should have happened 5 years ago.
Now, Manny is out of his prime and older(as biggsy mentioned) and this isn't nearly as compelling now.
And when Mayweather wins, it will be looked at as some big deal.

You guys realize Floyd is older than Manny right??
People jumped off the train after the horrible decision against Bradley and the highlight knock out by Marquez but he has bounced back in a big way the last 3 fights. If anything, Floyd is the one who has not looked like himself of late.

Some people age better. Just like all sports. You have guys like Curtis Martin and Emmitt Smith that seem to go forever, and you have guys like Jamal Lewis and Larry Johnson that just deteriorate faster. As long as Mayweather has his quickness, he's going to be unbeatable.

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

That is a joke.
But, this is the fight of the century in a sport that is on its last legs so it's not surprising.
