No one has ever hit 40 at the break. Bonds had 39. Jackson and Davis are next with 37.

Gonzalez is correct.
No one has ever hit 40 at the break. Bonds had 39. Jackson and Davis are next with 37.
If only Bonds had been juicing that year he would have gotten there for sure!

Did much better than I thought, but there are at least 50 names I'd never have remembered. Pretty tough. I forgot even a few players from this year already.
