Pretty sure I'm right. Palmeiro had over 3,000 hits for his career and his career lines up very well for any 90's leaderboard stuff.

Robby also must be quite close to whoever's 5th on this list.

Of the 3 listed here, I would’ve thought Robby.

Belle had a much shorter career than Raffy. I think had he played as long, he’d have approached 3,000 too.

EDIT: just checked, Raffy has Belle by about about 200 or so hits in the 90’s.

So basically, I remain the village idiot. But hey, my participation in this thread makes y’all look even smarter so you’re welcome.

It is Raffy. Belle was top 5 in HRs in the 90s. Maybe even #1. Dont hold me to that.

Alomar may have been 6th overall for hits in the 90s. Im going off memory. He was in the top 8 for sure.

I wonder what the top 5 is for times on base (hits + walks + hbp).

I think I'll keep Biggio and Palmeiro and swap the others out with Bonds, Big Hurt, and Bagwell. This could be Belle though. Of course I may have also erred with taking out some of the top hits dudes.

Top five in OPS+ as an Oriole, min 3000 PA

1. Frank

2. Eddie

3. ???

4. Boog

5. Palmeiro

Who wants to guess #3! He had over 1000 career games as an Oriole so this wasn't really a cup of coffee guy.

Very similar profiles with the bat, but I think the answer is pretty clearly Abreu.

He has an 18+ rWAR edge and an advantage of more than 15 fWAR compared to Singleton.

Bobby was seemingly the better defensive player and he brought speed to the table. Both were roughly equal as hitters with Singleton reaching higher highs and having a little better stats per plate appearance, while Abreu played more games during their respective runs as productive hitters and a fair amount more overall.

Singleton is very underrated though imo.

Abreu is basically Singleton except with speed.

I bet no one would be able to guess who has the highest similarity score to Singleton on Baseball Reference.

Bobby Abreu is/was so underrated.

Singleton is correct, wanted to wait a bit to see if there were any other guesses

Reggie Jackson had 37 one year.

1/6    I thought Jackson would be one of the tougher ones to get.

Wasn’t Matt Williams on pace to break Maris before the 1994 strike? I’ll guess him.

Had 30+. Maybe 31 at the break.
