Not a scout, but boy does #Terps QB commit Dwayne Haskins Jr. look good early on at #Elite11. The ball just explodes out of his hand.

The early reports on Haskins from the Elite 11 Camp have been glowing, that's for sure. He's wowing scouts right and left. He's the real deal, folks.

We're 1 hour away from 4-star DeMatha WR Tino Ellis' college decision. He's expected to choose Maryland over Virginia Tech.

Huge pickup. The DeMatha pipeline is for real, folks. Edsall has been building it for years, and it's coming to fruition.

VERY excited. I think he's got All-American potential. Great pickup.

They're doing a nice job of bolstering a receiver corps that was unexpectedly depleted this past offseason. Hope a couple of these guys can contribute immediately....though if they get Diggs I'd still prefer him as a DB.

With a few more of the uncommitted locals, we could vault into the Top 25 for the class. Maybe Top 20?

Yeah depending on the service they are 21-29 now.
Other programs will improve as they close... MD can gain some ground by their commits moving up in rankings during their Sr. years.
Get Diggs, Davis, Simms... Top 20-25 possible.
My only disappointment with the class so far are the Gilman guys who have gone elsewhere.

Four Big Ten East teams currently rank among the top 11 at 247sports. Ouch.

Zack, who -in your estimation- are the most likely commits still on the board and where would you suspect to see us rated when all is said and done?

I still expect Trevon Diggs to commit to Maryland, but the longer he puts off his commitment the longer Lane Kiffin and Mario Cristobal (and Nick Saban) have to recruit him. Keith Simms is one of the more likely commits, 3-star OLB from Bethesda. Stanford is the main competition for him. Terrance Davis is a great 4-star OG from DeMatha. Michigan is going hard for him, but the Terps are probably the #2 team at this point. With Ellis on board, perhaps Davis comes on as well.
Recruiting rankings are really tough to project, because so much depends on how all the other teams do. However, if they can land a guy like Diggs, they probably wind up with a Top 20-25 class.
Guys to watch for who the Terps aren't in the top running for, but are going after hard, are Richard Merritt (4-star OG, Archbishop Carroll), Naseir Upshur (4-star TE, Philadelphia), and Aaron Hansford (4-star OLB, DC).

Top DMV Defensive End Terrell Hall de-committed from Ohio State today. The Terps may be in play.

Hall is a 4-star prospect in the 247Sports rankings. He is the country’s No. 49 overall prospect, the No. 4 weak-side defensive end, and the No. 1 prospect in Washington D.C.
