Congrats!

I know this is stupid, but I got my mailbag theme aired on the Tony Kornheiser Show.

I just thought that was pretty awesome. I beatboxed. ...and I never will again.

I have to work tomorrow, and then Friday morning I'm flying to Baltimore and driving with my GF to Atlantic City for the weekend. It's a birthday gift for her, so we're seeing Rihanna on Friday night, which would obviously not be my musical selection, but between after the show and Saturday (maybe Sunday morning depending on where I stand..), I should have plenty of time for excessive gambling and drinking. Should be a good weekend!

Bring shoes you don't mind getting mucked up. Looks like it will be a rainy first weekend.

Completely soaking wet, but am watching DMB from the stage. Great weekend. Saw Billy Joel from here yesterday as well.

Awesome! I Wasn't quite as lucky with my viewpoint, but I bounced around from DMB to Earth Wind and Fire and finally BB King.

Saw a guy in a Ravens poncho who I gave a shutout. Turns out he was a Yankees fan who bought it at an Orioles game. He then dissed the Ravens. WTF?

What a doucher. You should have told him that those back-to-back homers by Teix and Jeter the other night were awesome.

Nice, I was hoping to see BB King but had had enough of the weather and was under cover for Dave. How was it?

Pretty good, was just outside the tent with rain gear on at first, but then managed to squeeze in for the end of the show. Played the Thrill is Gone, a couple songs I didn't recognize, and closed out with a rocking "When the Saints go marching in." He still has that great tone and sounded better live than recordings, IMO. Dude is 87, so I thought it might be my only chance to see him play.

When I bought my Ultrabook almost a year ago, one of my worries was that it didn't have an optical drive. I'm not dependent on them, but I wanted one to be able to play some older games and rip disks for personal use. So I reassured myself that as soon as I could, I would go out and get one.

Yeah, only took me until this week.

It did finally come today, though. Plays Blu-rays, writes DVDs (and CDs if I'm feeling nostalgic), only $89 from Newegg. Seems good so far.

It's a great day of the year for me...but then it's depressing when it's all over, and I have to wait 3-4 years before it looks like if I know what I'm talking about or not.
