Saw that the Ravens plan to terminate Terrence Cody's contract after the Super Bowl. But I'm confused because he is a free agent to be anyway. Does the timing of this add more cap space to the current season, thus more can be rolled over into 2015's cap space?

That's the only thing I can think of for the timing.

This post should be at least a year old by now.

What a douchebag. But seriously, if this is the only reason the Ravens released him, shame on them.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if they have an itchy trigger finger on things like this right now.

Thats awful. I guess waiting until after the SB ensures the Seahawks and Patriots dont pick him up...as of this would be an issue at all.
He can help deflate footballs by sitting his fat ass on them.

I'm sure they do. My point was more that he shouldn't have still been around for them to release.

Depends on the degree. Are we talking he hit his dog in public for barking at someone excessively? Or worse?
In any case, after last offseason, I think the Ravens will have a hair trigger for releasing players who get in trouble this offseason. Especially if said players don't really help your team.

Plus, that wasn't just some 2-second thank-you twit... the guy took some actual time and was thoughtful in expressing himself... doing that actually meant something to him...

I can't get over the size of Williams...his arms are bigger than most people's legs.
And btw, this kid must be one incredibly hard worker.
Some of you may remember the breakdown Dan Bryden had last year about how awful his technique was....Dan, of course, did a great job in his analysis, so it's not like he was wrong or something like that.
BWill just totally changed himself...obviously, coaching gets credit for that too but the player has to do their part.

Aaron Wilson was tweeting about it earlier. Cody's camp seemed to say it was all a bogus story.
Well it's all over the radio ...his dog got chewed up by his pet alligator that he wasn't feeding. He took the injured dog to the vet and they called the police. What a flipping idiot!!!

When is the State of the Ravens address?
My guess is after they return from their week at Bisciottis Florida beach house. Probably in two weeks.

Jacoby Jones ...called his season disappointment as a receiver and can find a much cheaper option for a return only player.
McPhee ...due to money he will receive on open market.
Darien Stewart.... Said he was lost at safety most of the year and wasn't worth the money the Ravens paid him.
