Phil Steele's most confident bowl pick is Stanford over MD.
Terps will open some eyes if they can just be in the game.

BSL: http://baltimorespor...s-bowl-preview/
Here's my bowl game preview. Within it, I take an in-depth look at Stanford's offense and its struggles this season. I also speak with Chris Garman (PressBox) and Matt Zenitz (Baltimore Sun) about the game, Randy Edsall's future, and recruiting.

CBSSports: Stanford WR Ty Montgomery ruled out for Foster Farms Bowl

Big news here. Montgomery is Stanford's leading receiver, having more than double the number of receptions than any other receiver on the Cardinal's roster.

Terps need to load up to stop the run, something they normally do poorly. But if Stanford is even less of a threat in the air it can only help. If MD is to win this, it has to be a low-scoring game, because I don't see the offense being able to do much against Stanford. Terps also need help from special teams.

I'm not Zack, but I'm guessing at least 14. Hopefully, they are able to keep it close and somehow eek out a win.

Terps need to have some success on offense early.
A ST or Defensive score... at-least a couple of Stanford turnovers, would help.
Thing I'll be watching early is Stanford's D-line vs. MD's O-line.... if that is a big issue right away, will probably be a long night.

It is ridiculously windy and, for California, very cold today. I don't know if that benefits either team since they are so run oriented but it certainly will mess with the kicking game.

Jeez... you weren't lying... pregame showing the wind, and problems the kickers had (Craddock included).
