It was good to see them bang out 11 hits and score 5 runs. It's doing it for more than a game or two that's been the problem. And man, Gunnar has been falling from the sky with alarming speed over the past month. He's hitting .180 over the past 34 games.

He hit 295 for the first 23 of those games. It's just been the last week and a half that he's almost gone hitless. 5/42 since the Mets series began.
It was good to see them bang out 11 hits and score 5 runs. It's doing it for more than a game or two that's been the problem. And man, Gunnar has been falling from the sky with alarming speed over the past month. He's hitting .180 over the past 34 games.

I'd give Gunnar tonight off and if we win I'd give him tomorrow off. He has more at bats than anybody on the team (as he should) but he needs a break.

I might wait until Chicago, but would like to see an off day for him soon and two or three more in September.

I would give Gunnar an All-Star version break that he never got. I'd give him tomorrow, Monday and Tuesday off and have him comeback on the final game against the White Sox. If they can't beat Chicago without Gunnar, they've got deeper problems than originally imagined. Of course, this will never happen, but I really do think that's what he needs.

So much for seeing if Gunnar and Adley hitting 1 & 2 in the lineup might snap them out of their funk.
Gunnar's OPS has been in a decline since late June where it peaked at 1.005.

The offense needs to do their part before I can blame anything on the pitching. The over under is 11 for a reason.

A double play in which a baserunner got thrown out at 3rd for the final out. Must be an Orioles game. F’ing pathetic. This has gone on for way too long.
