Switch ain't coming on. We've been waiting for months now for them to flip it.

I'm sure many a Ranger fan said that last year. Confidence and momentum are some of the best PEDs around.

But yeah, somethings just missing right now for sure.

Injuries have certainly played a major part, but I get the feeling something more is going on behind the scenes.

I didn't like most of the deadline moves. Team has had pretty good chemistry for closing in on 2 years. But passing over some of their own to acquire guys from elsewhere that frankly weren't all that special, not a good look to me. Eflin was a solid move, made sense to fill a need. Most of the other moves seemed unnecessary to me. And I still think Hyde's lack of mandatory retribution in the Bronx before the break was largely a cowardly turn of the cheek, and certainly don't think it helped their mentality at all.

That said, if you put just half of Kjerstad, Westburg, Bradish, Means, Wells, Grayson, Mountcastle, and the Mountain back on this team and they're 4 games clear of NYY right now. That's not happening of course, but injuries are absolutely a big factor too.

They are a below avg team. There are no two ways about it. Ive defended them for a long time. They just dont do enough to win consistenly. Its not a fluke and its not solely the injuries either.
