I really enjoy watching Mullins. He seems to be figuring out how he can be successful in the big leagues,

Sorry to say it, but this is Severino's pattern. He starts off the year full of energy and has great at bats where he grinds till he gets a pitch to hit. Then, as the season wears on, he's no longer energetic, his at bats usually last 1 or 2 pitches, and he's ultra slow to 1st base.

Sure hope he isn't worn down 51 games in, when he's been splitting time behind the plate... interested to see if the O's run it back with him and Sisco for '21, or decide to move one.

Bad 1st, but he really could have gotten out of it unscathed if he didn't give up the homer. For the most part, he pitched scared - afraid to throw over the plate - but that's to be expected in his first inning. It's how he reacts that's the key. Obviously doesn't have overwhelming stuff, so we'll need to see more of his offspeed pitches the rest of the game.

Hope he relaxes and just pitches from here
