Good piece Pete. I do have questions/reservations of how things will work out between the two, and I think you did a good job laying out those concerns.
Even though I think I see how things are going to end up, I'm willing to sit back and give them the opportunity to surprise.
Like you wrote, I like that Duquette is controlling what he can control at this point.

Yes they will...I have been saying this for a while.
Buck is clueless to how devoid of talent this team and organization truly are.
He seemingly has no idea how far away this team is from contention, yet he wants to keep the core in tact, a core that doesn't consist of ANY players that you would build around unless Wieters can produce for a full season, like he did to end this past season.
Other than that, you have some 2-3 WAR players....That's not the core of a championship team..not even close.
