The #Orioles plan to select the contract of INF Manny Machado from Double-A Bowie Thursday. He will be making his major league debut.
3rd base I guess. I am so happy I'll be there for his debut. Still think it's a bit too early but this will definitely be exciting.

How can you bring him up to not start? Why sit a developing, young player? You bring him up to play everyday or you leave him in the minors. Plus, he is hitting right now, so ride that wave.

Doesn't matter to me. Is there a chance Machado would start at 2nd? I'd think he'd be up for 3rd since that is the clear position of need (with a lack of defense there and Q playing pretty well at 2nd).
Should be interesting. I'm hoping Buck starts him tomorrow.

Well, this will probably get us in the national spotlight among guys like Olney, Rosenthal, etc.
Coupled with a 5 game winning streak and Bundy to Bowie, and there's a lot to talk about in regards to Baltimore baseball.

Thank god I have tickets to this game.
They have to start him. They're probably just being cagey about it to tamp down as much of the excitement/furor as they can.

DD's statement about having solutions already in the organization makes more sense now. I was thinking pitching help and that he was crazy.Could this thought have played into the decision to not make the Headley trade?

This year 's surprises never ends. I was intrigued by Bucks comments about going for it, in the last 49 games. Machado...did not see that coming. I guess he plays 3B.
