Letterman just called Belichick a weasel..
He was talking to Dan Patrick about the Colts game, and said, "It's that Belichik guy I have trouble with... he's a weasel..."

As NFL investigates Deflate-gate would be wise to speak to Ravens. Some there believe kicking balls used in their playoff game underinflated
@mortreport: NFL has found that 11 of the Patriots footballs used in Sunday’s AFC title game were under-inflated by 2 lbs each, per league sources.

Biggest thing not talked enough about the Patriots is their division. Their dominance in the East, combined with the ineptness of Buffalo, Miami, and Jets collectively over the last 15 years.... all those first round byes. Huge advantage.

Starting out 6-0 every year is nice. Granted they don't always sweep, but yeah.

Id say for a second cheating offense, they should have to either forego the entire draft, or docked money against the salary cap. Vacated wins are dumb and dont resolve anything. Money from their deep pockets means nothing.
I would also let the baseball writers vote when Brady and Belichick come up for the HOF

Dead serious if they find more Belichick cheating things from the past or if someone arises in the future, Id ban him from football.

@davecokin: Mike Carey is pretty sure the footballs were overinflated.

Agreed. Belichick should face a season long suspension after this one. It should be more severe then the spygate punishment. Different things, but both were a means of gaining an advantage.

Dear Mr. Goodell,
I have taken the liberty of authoring an amendment for your official rulebook:
"If any winning playoff team has been found to lack adequate balls, the two most recent victims of that teams inadequacy shall compete for a chance at advancement to the next round."
Sincerely,

It's always something with this team...and the league will probably do nothing of significance.

I don't really care what the actual penalties are, I just want there to be a strong public shaming. Make Belichick answer questions, about the deflated balls, about who ordered it, and about if his legacy is tainted because of multiple cheating scandals.
Just embarrass the hell out of them. They may not actually care, but make it something people always talk about and remember and mars their legacy.

A sixth round pick turns into a hall of famer.
Easy to do when you're cheating I guess.
Strip them of their titles and throw Belichick out of the league for life.
No 1st round picks for 3 years.

The great thing at this point is everything has been tainted. This organization under Belichick will always have stigma attached to it. Sure, the Pats fans will go straight to the 3+ rings, 7+ SB appearances line of defense but we all know. Everyone outside of NE will view those accomplishments as less. The overall greatness of Belichick and Brady has been tarnished. That's ultimately going to be a tough pill to swallow for everyone up there.
This is very true.
At this point, you'd be hard pressed to convince me that anything they've won was done completely on the up and up.
