USA Today: NBA may push draft back into July, add awards show
The NBA remains "very interested" in moving the draft after July 1 and packaging it with a season-ending awards show possibly on consecutive nights, a person familiar with the league's thinking told USA TODAY Sports.

If they do that, I would hope that the NCAA pushes back their deadline to give athletes a better chance to prepare, practice, and see if they're going to be drafted.

Way too logical.
Yeah sure, but once the season ends and they get the info back from the NBA people, I think they already have their minds made up anyways. And in many cases, if they get mixed messages, they'll go with what they want to hear (entering the NBA Draft). Many of these players decided long ago, they were entering the NBA Draft and short of injury or horrendous, they will do so anyways.
Bottomline, I don't think this will have much effect anyways even if they do back up the date. The potential draftees will continue to make bad choices. I still would hope the NCAA would this however.
