First thought that crossed my mind too. What an absurd story.
They need to investigate this police officer who is ruining a Sheffler grand slam opportunity. No doubt in my mind he has money on someone else

In all honesty the whole story needs to be out there. My first thought is this was a heavy handed move by someone whon doesnt like Scottie or want him him to win. Depends on how egregious his actions were. His actions being Schefflers.

Lots of ugly here.
Cop with anger management issues and a golfer with an over-privileged sense of entitlement collide in the sky.
You guys like to bet.
What are the odds if Scheffler were black that cops would’ve drawn guns on him?

Wow. A lot of ugly assumptions about individuals you've never met. Can't assume the cop has anger management issues. Can't assume Scheffler has any entitlement issues. (considering Scheffler never once dropped the "do you know who I am" once, and even seemed appalled when asked if he mentioned who he was on the post-round presser tells me that assumption is way off.) And assuming anything based on race is just ridiculous. (One of the arresting officers was an older black male on top of it.)
From what's been said by eye witnesses, one officer told Scheffler to use the median to go around the accident. When he started to go, another officer told him to stop and "attached himself" to his car. The charges seemed a little exaggerated and dramatic.

So how many athletes have gone straight from a jail cell to the field of play and done the equivalent of shooting a 66? Other than Scheffler and this guy, I'm thinking none.

So we're going with an interview 6 or 7 hours after the incident? And you're using hearsay to validate the arrestee's actions? Do you think there might have been some cleanup going on?
Lastly - just because a black cop was present doesn't mean if Scheffler were some random black guy driving into Valhalla (because he's the guy who makes omelettes) that guns wouldn't have been drawn on him. Cuz that's happened time and again. DWB.
