Feels like hes always in the mix or at least 2nd or 3rd page of the leaderboard. Would be a well deserving champion.

Also would be cool for an Asian golfer to win it with all the recent crap that community has dealt with.

Feels like a matter of time for Schauffele as well. If it isn't Matsuyama, I hope it's him.

Like every major, as long as it isn't Ian Poulter I'll be happy :)

Rooting for Matsuyama first. Then anyone but Rose.

I don't think this will be a runaway. Matsuyama will be feeling some nerves sleeping on the lead. Doesn't have to choke to only shoot 70 or 72 and if he does that several others are in reach.

Matsuyama bogeys 1 but recovers to birdie the par 5 2nd and has parred the next two.  He's still at -11 and has a 3 shot lead through 4.  He doesn't look very crisp, will be interesting to see if he settles and puts a nice score up or if he starts not being able to scramble and save these pars.

Zalatoris at -1 thru 6 is the only person on the first page who is under par today.

Schauffele was -1 thru 2 but then bogeyed the next two and is in trouble on the 5th.

Too early to count out -6 but looking like its a 2 man race. If that. Matsuyama may run away.

If Matsuyama comes back enough to give Zalatoris a shot then at least a couple other guys will also be in play.  I think a round of 72 wins it for Matusyama.  Might not even need to shoot par.

If I’m a past Champion, I don’t think I want the guy with the 28” inch waist winning and creating the menu for next years champions dinner.

Matsuyama can't follow up his best shot of the day with the short birdie putt, settles for par on 7 as Zalatoris closes the gap to 2 shots.

Matsuyama going to the par 5 eighth, if he doesn't birdie this one it could get in his head.

Hideki birdies 8 and 9 to make the turn at -13 with a 5 stroke lead.

Would take one of the big all time collapses to not be over at this point. Something like Rory did not too long ago.

Schauffele birdied 4 straight to cut the lead to 2 strokes and then tripled 16.

Matsuyama up 2 with 2 to play. Zalatoris finished at -9.

Approach finds the right bunker. Just needs to get on the surface and two putt. We'll see about the lie.

Bogey finish for the win.

Not the drama we'd want on a typical Sunday but great performance and a long deserving champion.
