I'm excited to have Lough back in the lineup. It looks like Buck is trying to play Hundley/Caleb for 2-3 days and then switch off.

He shouldn't be a starter but as a guy who can get 300-400 at bats, play defense, speed, etc....

What's with Balt and it's fans completely overrating LFs. Matos, Bigbie, Pie, Lough.

If Lough is getting 300-400 ABs you are in deep crap.

Fine line between wishful thinking and overrating. Besides they are all just keeping the seat warm for Nolan, Buck loves him.

Buck loving Nolan is pretty surprising.Fine line between wishful thinking and overrating. Besides they are all just keeping the seat warm for Nolan, Buck loves him.
I forget about Nolan. I can't expect anything there, especially not as an OF.

last year, as he has this year. He has speed.
In 96 games last year, he had a 2.4 WAR.
He is walking more this year, which is good to see.
His Ld% is awful but it's well below his career average. He isn't this bad of a hitter. His baBip is so poor as well..again, that has to do with the LD% but both will improve and so will his numbers.
His MiL numbers were very solid as well...so, when you look at those numbers and his numbers from last year, it's really dumb to say he's terrible. Looking at 100 PA and making your determination off of that while ignoring everything he has done is about as poor as it gets
He started off poor and then didn't get much playing time..tough to dig yourself out of the hole when you aren't playing(btw, Buck made the right move by not playing him...just saying you can't give him a full evaluation when taking everything into account).

Is Nolan ever coming off the DL? He's pretty much an afterthought to me at this point. If he can somehow get/stay healthy, that's a bonus.

Of course there is nowhere to go but up for a guy slashing .176/.242/.253. Any random high A OF could do that up here.
The problem was assuming he could be a reg. He's a 4th OF. Treat him as such.

I agree....Lough is a 5th OF AT BEST. Lough should NOT be in the OF, but maybe he's in there solely for defense w/ that swirling wind...and why the hell is Manny still batting 2nd?!?!?!?!? He gets one hit or one HR and buck moves him back to 2nd? Dumb.
