Griffey. But Mays, Cobb and Mantle all had higher WAR seasons (Mays three, Mantle and Cobb two each).
 
I used FanGraphs, just because it is easier to search.

Ok..then I'm surprised that Trout is at $5.

Interesting that people are spending premium dollars on the closer.

Mo is the only guy I think that justifies that.

There's a big drop off from him to other guys..moreso than some, if not all, of the other positions IMO.

He shouldn't be that high, but when doing this, I'm not thinking that you're necessarily getting the best season out of these guys, but rather getting them in their prime with various outcomes possible. Since Trout has no non ridiculous seasons yet, that helps him. Cal was quite volatile on the other hand so there's more risk there.
