I hope we're able to be a little more patient tonight than we were last night. I know Lackey pounds the zone (at least against us) but I felt like every hitter was down 0-2 and our half innings were over in like 2 minutes.

 

Doubront may cure what ails us; he is about 4 BB per 9IP. Hopefully we can make him come to us and as Mackus said, put up some crooked numbers. A series win against an AL east foe is always a good thing.

I was pretty confident this afternoon that they would get this game in, but the future radar on weather.com shows some bad rain coming later in the night.

 

We'll see. They should be fine but I would expect some rain if anyone is headed down.

Doubront's had success against us in the past and pretty much everyone not named Cruz are struggling right now. I expect to see Schoop and Pearce in the lineup tonight, but I have a feeling it's going to be another low scoring affair.

I'm kind of pessimistic about Chen this year, at least early.  His injury concerns me, but he seemed to pitch well towards the end of ST, so hopefully he starts the season strong.
