Well they jumped the shark a bit there... Completely unnecessary but I liked everything else.

I hope the finale is the plot of the season from the perspective of the aliens, just to screw with everyone. And then at the end they abduct Molly when she runs away from her dead mother and take her away to be an interstellar pirate.

Season 2 is better. It's probably the best single season of a show since season 4 of the Wire.

Season 2 of The Leftovers is best season of TV maybe ever but you're right it's better than season 1. But it's close, both are great.How'd you like the second season relative to the first? I've only seen the opening episode of season two.Season 2 is better. It's probably the best single season of a show since season 4 of the Wire.
