Lebron says he'll end up on NBA Mt. Rushmore

First of all, it's sour grapes because LeBron left.
Secondly, LeBron isn't on Miami because of Wade. He may love him like a brother but as a business partnership, Wade is a terrible partner for the short and long term.
That's just a fact of this. The difference between Kyrie and Wade is enormous.

Weber still doesn't believe a 66 win team is a title contender. That's brilliant.i just went back and re read this whole thread.

Hey you guys won 80% of your regular season games but you're not really a title contender
Yea, that's exactly what I'm referencing.

Nickle you slay me

You admitted that was a bad supporting cast in person. But troll on Skip.

I'm just saying that was a ridiculous argument. How many times in the history of sports has a team won 80% of their games and not been a title contender.
If you go beat 20 8 year olds in one on one basketball by 20-0 scores, does that mean you are ready to go to the NBA?

Im not trolling. That's a horrible argument. It may not be an ideal supporting cast but they won 66 games. That's a championship caliber team. Some of the talent around Brady and Manning was less than ideal during some of their seasons. People never gave them a pass if they didn't win the title in those years

The fact that he made that team a 66 win team shows how great LBJ is.
Just as we say Brady makes average look way better...Its the same argument.

I really don't like James, but he is in the conversation.
The game has changed so much, I hate putting the young guys right into a spot over the older guys.
They have so many more advantages then the older guys did such as, the rules, equipment (shoes), training measures supplements, medical advancements and money.
I think you can make a case for about 20 guys to be in the top 4, and that IMO, includes Larry Bird.
My problem with James, is he is an ego maniac, and he has maneuvered the system to get his own team a couple of times. He bailed on Cleveland to go play with his hand picked group in Miami and then bailed on Miami to go back and play with a hand picked group in Cleveland. Not his problem, he took advantage of a crappy league to get what he wanted, but don't sell yourself as some civil servant who is dedicated to his city.
Despite my dislike for the king, he is certainly high up on the Rushmore candidates.

Well, the older players had the advantage of the game not being so global.

It's a great argument and you had no legit counter to it. Still don't.

Being a top 5(top 4 to be technical)talent doesn't necessarily equal being on Mt Rushmore. LBJ has failed too many times on the court and made too many mistakes off the court to be on Mt RushmoreThe Score: Doc Rivers: 'No doubt' LeBron is top 5 all time

Outside of the decision, which did give money to the boys and girls club, what has he done wrong off the court?
