Just looking at the Yankees starting lineup for tonights opener. And we have to play them 10 times. Yikes. I don't think we have a player on our roster who would start in that lineup except maybe Alberto at 2nd.
Nope, and DJ LeMahieu is their second baseman.

Outside of his family members, I think you are the only person who actually would put those words down on “paper”.
You wouldn't have considered Alberto over Wade? I guess the Nats were using a RHer.

I'm not sure what analytics teams are using, but I can assure them that leaving balls up over the middle of the plate isn't the way to get Judge out.

Judge and Stanton just can not stay on the field. Two incredible talents, but they spend too much time on the IL.

That's a shame about Judge, really seems like a good kid, and obviously a talented player.
Not implying Stanton isn't a good guy, but Judge really stands out to me.

Barring some swings in the standings, it kind of looks like we sort of know the 8 teams making the playoffs in the AL. The only question will be what order.
The Yankees are not really impressive in any way right now. Their pitching staff of soft after Cole and their lineup is a mess. One of the pundits on MLB Radio commented today, "if I looked at the Tigers lineup and the Yankees lineup starting today, which one would I want?...I think I want the Tigers..."
Yankees could easily win up being the 7th or 8th seed.

Yankees ousted by those big market Rays.
That's 11 years in a row without the Yankees in the WS.
The 2010s were the first decade the Yankees didn't play in the WS.
They wouldn't have even been in the Playoffs this year without the expanded format.
