I assume you'll edit these if this isn't the match up? The Knicks and Sixers are tied for 7th right now.

Yeah, I'll go back and make any needed changes before the 1st round starts.

For someone that does not pay a ton of attention like myself, interesting to look at some of these rosters as a whole.

Good Lord. As a Wizards' fan I can't wait to see what Bynum/Gasol do to a front court led by JaVale McGee. Really hope this is the matchup the Lakers get instead of Memphis.

I thought I saw that Horford was going to be out longer. Is he coming back Thursday now?

I can tell you this -- both Miami and the Bulls would MUCH rather play Philly than the Knicks. Melo has been out of his mind lately.

Definitely. I would still be very surprised if the Knicks beat either team.

I saw one Yahoo report that he was out for the playoffs, followed by a 2bd report that he would play Thursday.

Yep. The only thing that would make it better would be if a healthy Minnesota was in that 8 spot. I'd also much rather see Nash and the Suns than the Jazz.

Them's fightin' words.

It really wouldn't matter who got into the 8 spot, they would get rolled regardless. Phoenix is done for the foreseeable future I think. Minnesota will be a lot of fun in the coming years because I think Rubio is going to make everyone on that team better. My Jazz will be fun to watch next year. A huge upside for the young guys and some returning vets. I had zero hope of them making the playoffs and I still think I would have liked the lottery pick instead of an early exit, but at least they didn't tank the last of the season. I hate it when teams try to lose to get a better draft position.

I think the Jazz will play the Spurs tough...

Not saying they'll win the series, but it'll be tougher than most think.

Indiana gets a bye with Howard out. They are going to give Miami a tough series. Wouldn't shook me to see them come out of the East.

Mark my words: Jazz/Spurs is going at least 6 games.

The deciding factor will be whether the Jazz can defend against the 3 when Parker penetrates and kicks. If the rotation is poor, it will be a sweep, if not I could see this going to 6 or 7 games.

Chicago Bulls Vs. Philadelphia 76ers, 6 games Bulls win 4-2
Miami Heat Vs. New York Knicks, 5 games Heat win 4-1
Indiana Pacers Vs. Orlando Magic, 6 games Pacers win 4-2
Boston Celtics Vs. Atlanta Hawks, 7 games Hawks win 4-3

West
San Antonio Spurs Vs. Utah Jazz, 6 games Spurs win 4-2
Oklahoma City Thunder Vs. Dallas Mavericks, 4 games Thunder win 4-0
L.A Lakers Vs. Denver Nuggets, 6 games Lakers win 4-2
Memphis Grizzlies Vs. L.A Clippers, 6 games Grizzlies win 4-2

I know i have no upsets but i just don't see any good ones. I debated taking the Clippers over the Grizzlies but i just feel the Grizzlies are too tough and gritty for the Clipper to handle.

His only problem right now (I think he had a career year on offense and defense both so I don't want to bitch too much) is his passing out of the post. San Antonio will double him early, or at least I would if I coached them, and he'll have to find the open man. We'll see. I'm really excited because I kind of feel like we get to play with house money.

No, you seem like a smart guy. :D

I kid, I kid. If we agree on these NBA picks, you and everyone else should be betting the opposite. Won't pretend to know a ton about the Association. Only follow from a distance.

I agree on the offensive end of the floor but the Jazz have been brutal against the pick and roll this year and that is SA's bread and butter with Parker and Ginobili. Could see the Jazz stealing one game, but expect to see Spurs in 5

If Chris Paul can take the Lakers to 6 last year with that Hornets team, I would be surprised if this series doesn't at least go 7, and am calling for the Clips to win in 6 (if Paul is healthy, that is). Memphis has been awful shooting 3's this year and word is the Clips have been working on a modified zone to protect Griffin from Memphis' bigs and force them to shoot from the outside.

Also, wouldn't be surprised to see the Hawks take that series with Ray Allen's injury and his status up in the air.

Other than that, I pretty much agree with your picks, give or a take a game.
