GOing to keep harping on it because poor defense drives me crazy. Ours is horrible. Not only are our 3bman flat out bad but Davis has horrible footwork and receiving skills and ANdino and Jones while solid are prone to lapses. Hell, even Wieters has had too many lapses to start the year.

He's bemoaning trading Randy Henry & Jarret Martin for Teagarden & Eveland respectively.
We have a dozen RP candidates, and they are in A ball so I said it's not a big loss and Eveland has been pitching well. We need the SP depth.
He says we can't be giving away prospects for backups.

He's not alone with that opinion. I've seen that from Dan, and Sports Guy here. I think they have a point, that their depth could be used in trades for other parts. However, I tend to agree with you that their loss was a non-issue.

I just think that "prospects" is a vague term. Those guys weren't anything that Mike Wright isn't for example.
Hoarding prospects does not necessarily make you better.
