Rios k's on a hook from Hammel. Going to the 6th, O's still up 3.

You get Britton back, and you can almost start feeling confident about a solid starting pitching outing most nights.

Good news that he was able to keep the pitch count down after it was so high through 3.
He should be able to get through the 6th now.
10 ks ties career high...Just nasty stuff today.

A 10 game, 3 City road trip in the middle of April, could be a killer.
O's in position to gurantee at-least a 5-5 record on the trip if they hold on today.
Paulino grounds into the dp to end the O's 6th.

Hammel up to 93 pitches starting the 6th.
Has 10 k's, and 7 grounders.

Hammel gets the dp ball to Andino. Dino flips to Hardy, Hardy little trouble out of his glove; but makes the play. 2 out.

I'm not sure if that was a nice play by Chavez or not. He sure did make it look nice.

108 pitches for Hammel...likely out for the game I would guess. 66% of his pitches for strikes.
To illustrate how nasty his stuff was today, Hammel had a swingingstr% of 22% today...Thats 7% above league average and probably 8-10% higher than average for a starter.
