Elite level defense, very questionable bat. If the price stays low, it's intriguing. Probably needs a half season at least in AAA to work on the hitting though. If the cost stays low enough it could be intriguing to a team looking to sure up infield defense, and that can afford to slot him in as a #9 hitter.

 

Probably not a great fit for the O's as result, could be as expensive as Hardy now, so not an ideal trade off, and will probably eliminate a possible Hardy trade destination.

HBT posted a quote from a scout recently saying that this guy is going to be like Jose Iglesias with the glove, but he "trusted" Iglesias's bat more coming through the minors. Iglesias, with the under-600 OPS in over 900 AAA PAs.
