LF Reimold
SS Hardy
RF Markakis
CF Jones
C Wieters
3B Reynolds
DH Paulino
1B Davis
2B Andino

I like it, pretty similar to what the O's used against Sabathia 4/11:

N Reimold LF
J Hardy SS 4
N Markakis RF
A Jones CF
M Wieters C
M Reynolds 3B
R Paulino DH
W Betemit 1B
R Andino 2B

Davis is playing well enough to get the start vs. a lefty, even though he's 0-6 lifetime vs. Danks (Betemit is 3-6). Hard to believe that Adam Jones is 1-21 lifetime vs. Danks.

The other line-up I might consider would be Betemit at 3B, Reynolds DH and sit Paulino.

I don't like how often Paulino is getting at bats as the DH. Career .707 OPS and in the mid .660s over the past two seasons. I know he started 5-5 or whatever, but that shouldn't be considered anything other than a fluke. We should be giving more consistent at bats the guys who are better hitters. I understand about playing the hot hand and sitting the cold guys, but I'd much rather see Betemit or Johnson as the DH, even considering their early struggles and that we're going against a LHP

Career splits vs. LHP:

Paulino: .864 OPS in 642 plate appearances
Johnson: .855 OPS in 841 plate appearances
Betemit: .685 OPS in 479 plate appearances

I hadn't looked that up, and that's very pertinent information, which makes playing Paulino far more justifiable, especially considering Johnson's ice cold start. Thanks.

We were going to attempt to use Cover It Live for the game-thread tonight, but I noticed some drawbacks.

Sorry, going to have to use the regular format for now.

I'm supportive of giving anything a try, but I like the current game thread format. I'll be participating no matter what though!

Would be very interested to see what this lineup could do over the course of the entire season, without significant injuries.

I'm not a huge fan of DHing Reynolds, and having Betemit at 3rd.

Once again, I'll be sitting at the bar. It's a drag not having cable at the house.

Will try and post in here every now and again through the course of the game. Hoping for good things from Chen.

Let's go O's!
