Socolovich being signed to a a Minor League contract in November, was a transaction that I had missed. As Dempsey's Army points out, that strikeout rate is impressive. Here is a profile on Socolovich from Sox's Prospects (http://www.soxprospe...vich-miguel.htm). He certainly looks like an arm that will see time in Baltimore at some point during '12.

I have never seen him throw a pitch but he is taking Eveland's place so the bar is not set that high.
