I always thought people who said that Arrieta would be the best of the cavalry were foolish. Looks to be the smart money bet at this point.

I'm still a fan of all of them (Matusz, Britton, Tillman), but Arrieta being the best might be accurate.

Jones singles into left.

On a 2-0 count, Wieters rips a single into RF.

Oh, of course. I like what I've seen from Matusz stuff-wise so far this year and Tillman still my personal favorite, but starts like this do get me excited about Arrieta long-term.

Johnson needed to advance the runners there at the minimum.

Reynolds keeps his shoulder in, belts a long double to RCF. Knocks in Jones, Wieters to 3rd.

Good at-bat from Andino working the walk. Bases loaded for Chavez, with 2 out.

Great to see!

That ball was absolutely crushed, but just didn't have much elevation on it. That could have easily been a homer if it had been elevated. Great stroke.

Also great to see Dino having a quality AB.

Here's an idea - How about never having Endy Freakin' Chavez bat lead off again? He is not good.

Chavez can't check his swing, k's.

O's leave the bases loaded, but do tie the game at 1.

Arrieta coming out for the 4th, having thrown 42 pitches.
