So he got the Dan Snyder Penalty, almost exactly. We'll see if the NBA actually enforces that one year suspension, unlike the NFL who seems to have no problem with Snyder still being involved in all the day-to-day matters (i.e. skimming shared ticket revenues).

In the course of just over 24 hours the Suns got a new owner (officially) and Kevin Durant. That was a day, and a half.

The Suns lost to the Thunder tonight, and with that were eliminated from the play-in/playoffs. It's stunning when you look at their trajectory over just the past 4 years.
2021 - Played in the Finals
2022-23 - Traded a decade's worth of draft picks plus some decent young players to get win-now superstars
2024 - Swept in the 1st Rd
2025 - Will miss the postseason entirely with the oldest and most expensive roster in the NBA
And again, they do not control any of their own 1st Rd draft picks until 2032. About when this free-fall started the fans did get rid of Robert Sarver, who was a dirtbag. But while the new owner obviously isn't afraid to spend money, he really mortgaged that team's future....for nothing.
