I had no idea who the owner of the Suns was before this story, but this is one of the more forceful denials that I think we've seen of someone accused of this sort of behavior. I'm interested to see how this unfolds and what can be proven/corroborated.

No surprises here. It's Donald Sterling all over again. Just like Sterling, everyone knew this is who Sarver is for years and years. But it took an audio recording that Sterling couldn't deny to get the NBA to force him out. Absent that kind of smoking gun with Sarver, not sure whether the NBA will feel empowered enough to do more than some combination of a fine and suspension.

The Suns wasted no time in matching Indiana's 4yr/$133M offer sheet to Deandre Ayton. The deal reportedly contained a 1st-year trade veto, which could definitely complicate matters if the Suns had designs on doing a sign-and-trade as part of a deal to land Durant.

Seems like an over pay. Aston is a good player but wow.34 M plus a year.

Especially in an era where non-elite centers (guys not in Jokic or Embiid territory) don't have nearly the value they once did.
