Do seem to start quick. Indicative of good practice and gameplan. But the adjustments seem to be really poor, and I don’t watch closely enough, but maybe it’s a talent thing too. Defense consistently allows strong rushing performances, which are just demoralizing.

They sit at 5-6 after todays loss to the 49ers, yet have led every single game this season by 7+ points at some point. Just crazy.

Wasn't aware of the 1st sentence, that's crazy.
Combination of injuries, bad luck, silly and untimely mistakes, and lack of focus. They played yesterday without their entire starting defensive line.
I do think it's a very talented team and I think overall Zimmer is a good coach, but for whatever reason it's just not fully clicking. They could easily, easily be 8-3, or 3-8. You can make a strong case that they outplayed Cincy, Arizona and Baltimore on the road. They also lost to Cooper Rush at home.
It's a team that I wouldn't feel comfortable at all facing in the playoffs, and also a team that could lose a home game to the Jaguars. They just seemed determined to play a close, final possession game regardless of who the opponent is.

Sounds like this belongs in the Ravens thread. Woof.

Pretty positive outcome to what was a very scary story last week.

My own opinion is that the VIkings need a new coach. Never been a big fan of Zimmer, ever since he threw his kicker under the bus for missing a FG on an icy field against Seattle. The Vikings have too much talent to continually lose games they should be winning. I think this loss will be the nail in his coffin, rightfully so. Zimmer just can't figure out how to finish games.

Yeah, I think he has to go as well. They play to the level of competition more than just about any team I've seen. I definitely wasn't shocked by that Lions game yesterday (the Lions really aren't that horrible of a team considering their record), and I also won't be surprised if the Vikings win in Green Bay. But there needs to be more consistency. And the defense gives up too many points late in the 1st and 2nd halves.
A new voice is needed.

Ill welcome Zimmer as the Ravens new DC with open arms. Bye Wink.
Was thinking similar. Not necessarily Ravens, I'd be real surprised if they move on from Wink, but Zimmer is gonna be a highly sought after coordinator if he's out of the top job in Minnesota. Kubiak-esque.

Bummer. I was hopeful he'd jump and take "G Ro" with him...

I wonder what happened in the interview, they thought it was a done deal up here.

I was kind of up in the air on Harbaugh.
Sounds like it's going to be Rams OC Kevin O'Connell. Doesn't exactly fill me with excitement but I really have little knowledge about him. Everyone's looking for that next hot young coach I guess.

It sounds like Harbaugh went there thinking the job was already his, which must have been awkward. The new GM wanted him, but ownership decided they’d rather have the latest and greatest new toy from the Sean McVay factory.

Someone get word to Lamar that this is why you hire an agent.
