I mean you can call it a choke but youre an inch away from an empty netter seal. You get a puck that had no chance of going in deflecting at a difficult off a defender.
That's some breaks where you can't blame or credit one team or the other.

Doesn't matter how shit bounces, you either get it done or you don't. Save for '98, they're basically the Buffalo Bills of women's Olympic ice hockey. Good but not good enough, with some unfortunate circumstances thrown in there. When it counts most, Canada OWNS them (in the World Championships, too, I might add).
Is anyone disputing that? I think you can still talk about how close the US came and say the didn't the job done. In terms of being the Buffalo Bills of women's ice hockey, there's really only two competitive teams -- I guess Canada is the Packers by that analogy.

Don't think has much bear (if any) bearing at all, this always the much lesser event. How many people cared about women's hockey prior to this game?

They were up 2-0 with under 4 minutes to go, that alone should've been enough to win. Really unexcusable.

This game could very easily be 3 or 4 to nothing Canada. They are dominating the zone, and their stick lift's and poke check's on defense is making it very difficult on the US to possess the puck. Quick has been outstanding.
