Regardless of how this game finishes up, excellent work by the bullpen. I think this pen can really be a strength if they aren't overused (like they're being tonight).

Not to get ahead of myself, but it'll be important for Jake to log some innings tomorrow.

To me, the O's batters have made the mistake of trying to be... can't believe I'm about to say this... too selective tonight. These umps have been all over the place. By leaving the bat on your shoulders, you're failing to seize control of the situation.

Reynolds k's. 1 out.

That is 7 k's for Reynolds, Davis, and Andino tonight.

Rapada coming on.

I hadn't really thought of that, but you're probably right. Unfortunately, you can't really let anything remotely close to the plate go. I don't really think any hitters on either team have looked overly comfortable this evening.

If Rapada faces 1 RH hitter, the game is over.

Absolutely. I believe every reliever has pitched tonight besides Gregg and O'Day, who both pitched last night.

Davis grounds up the middle, Jeter makes the play. 2 out.

The good news is that they've only been used for an inning. Pitching multiple nights in a row isn't too bad for a reliever, but when it's multiple inning appearances, that changes things a bit.

Either way, a 7'ish inning performance from Jake would be great tomorrow. But if we have to use the BP, we at least have the off day on Thursday to look forward to.

Backwards K's all over the place..

4 pretty frightening hitters coming up for the Yankees, just 3-18 tonight. That scares me.

In more important news, this thread has more than double the number of posts than the second biggest BSL game day live thread.

Great, and Cano leads the evil empire off with a double. Damnit.

Cano gets to 2nd to lead off the 12th. Line drive off the top of Reynolds glove. Should be a double.

ARod grounds out, Cano advances.

Now that was a gaffe, as Reynolds should have had the pop out in foul territory. I don't blame him for the Cano hit.

It's alright Chris, we'll forgive you.

Reynolds - You are just an unbelievable disaster. I literally don't even know what to say.

Nice play by Andino.

Let's walk Grandy and take our chances with Ibanez.
