I think this is BS. Flacco can't make those guys catch the damn ball. Doss is just not that good and Brown gut hurt. Bottom line is he has very little to work with and the lack of a run game hurts that much more!
You don't think Rodgers, Brady, manning and Brees make WR better?

I love Joe Flacco. But name one WR that's come here that has gotten better or developed more than we thought he would/should?
Torrey Smith.

Flacco is an above average QB. He has his flaws. A few of those picks today were a result of bad reads while two were a result of Dickson's awful mitts and a superior leaping play by the defender. Still he had about a C- to D game.
The Ravens are best when balanced. Play action can be employed and then a few deep shots to push the ball downfield.
The offensive line is the biggest issue now. This team can't afford to make themselves one dimensional to win. It's not how they are built. They've provided little push in the run game and in pass protection Flacco was forced to take multiple hits and scramble most of the day.
The defensive front had a terrible day as well. If they could have slowed the running game the Bills would have been sunk.
Either way they are 2-2 in a division that looks terribly average at this point.

The O-Line is sort of one of those units where you're as good as your weakest link... and considering how bad Gino has been, I think that's what has buried us. Defenses do a lot these days to attack weaker parts of the trenches. When we try to compensate for that, you see guys like Yanda, Oher, McKinnie get beat regularly too.

Torrey Smith is an obvious example.
He's way better than most late 2nd round receivers.

I missed the game. Was in LA coming home from a wedding. Sitting in the airport following on the phone for most of the 2nd half. That said, I've only seen the brief highlight clips of the game.
A. I did think today would be a struggle. I probably would have picked the Ravens to win but never thought it would be close to easy. I think we are a team that could, almost assuredly wont, but could very well lose all the road games. I don't expect us to have any "easy" games on the road. At the same time, we can beat anybody at home.
B. Some people jumped on me after getting emotional with some preseason games but it was obvious from watching them when 1s were playing 1s that we were a pretty bad run blocking team. Dilutis is right, people complaining about the lack of running are the same ones who would be bitching if we ran it 25 times and only had 50 yards. Our YPC is god awful on the year and its all on the Oline. We know the Rbs are solid-good Rbs.
C. That brings me to Flacco. Now, watching the highlights and not even seeing all the INts it's hard to tell how much was on him and how much wasn't. The ones I saw, were bad reads on relatively short throws. People think Im a Flacco fanboy but I'm also a harsh, realistic critic. I've said before that Joe is not the kind of Qb that is going to succeed trying to be Brady or Manning. Throwing a lot, and throwing a lot of the shorter type throws over the middlish of the field. The closer to the LOS and closer to the middle of the field he throws the worse he gets in a lot of ways. For all the flaws, Cam Cameron had one thing right when he first starting working with Joe. He throws best down the field and outside the hash marks. I would honestly rather see him throwing a 15-20 yard pass than a 5-8 yard pass. The "west coast" passing is not his strength. That's why I was never on board with the thinking that we needed to complete hand the keys over to Flacco or that Caldwell was going to magically make him more efficient on those shorter throws. Point blank, he's just not that good at it. Below average IMO. He needs a running game and the playaction pass down the field off of it to be at his best.
That doesn't mean he can't take over a game at times and dissect a team with the "west coast" passing. he really showed he could do that in the Pats AFC Cham game last year but he's not consistent or good enough to do it every week.

I know we don't have their weapons but the plays they run aren't even thought about in our play book.

BTW, as terrible as they played the other day, they still could have won that game. Amazing that you can say that.

Yeah, the Bills are really bad.
Interesting personal note:
Flacco hasn't had more than 2 picks in a regular season game since 9/19/2010 against the Bengals, when he threw 4 and had a completely abysmal 17-39 for 154 yard day. After that game, I posted on the Hangout that anyone who thinks that Flacco is going to play this bad every week is an idiot and Tony proceeded to essentially kick me off of his site. I hope to still be posting here in three or four seasons when Flacco has his next huge interception total game!

Ha... I was on OH yesterday. I saw Tony suggest in the Ravens post-game thread that the Ravens may look for Flacco's replacement in the upcoming draft.

Pente is an overly emotional, spoiled idiot when it comes to the Ravens. Like many others in Baltimore.
