That one was scary thanks to the sound of the bat and the fans who don't know how "trajectory" works, but good to get out of the fifth.

Gonzalez is at 80 pitches, though, so they might want to think about having someone at least ready to warm up quick.

Gonzo's thrown 80 pitches through 5. I'm bringing him back out, but I'd have someone ready to come in at the very first sign of danger. No messing around. We've got no margin for error at this point.

Gonzo has a 6.64 ERA in the 6th inning this season... 7.04 in the 7th.

Welp, that was a quick inning for the offense.

Agreed that you should bring Gonzalez back out but I'd have multiple guys up in the 'pen to bring in once a batter gets on.

Off-day tomorrow, needing to keep our slim hopes alive, I agree.

Adam Lind up first doesn't give me confidence.

Hope it's nothing too serious, he might not be the greatest pitcher in the world, but we don't have a ton of better options.

Pfffffft.  TJ MacFarland begs to differ.

Minimal faith that Guasman gets out of this without giving up at least 1 run.  So hope I'm wrong though.

I will happily eat some crow there.  Good job by the 'Guas to strand those 2 runners.

You forgot Arencibia was up.

He's not a bad catcher, and he gets a huge boost in WAR from that positional adjustment, but might he be the worst everyday player in baseball?

Not a bad prediction, nice bounce back from Gausman.

@EddieInTheYard As suspected, right groin strain on Gonzalez is the official word from the #Orioles.

Oh man... that's not good. That could shut him down depending on how bad it is. So Hammel stays in the rotation, Bud slots back in... my guess anyway.

I think walking Adam Lind is the right move, but who knows.
