Is Bierfeldt just too good for this league? Those power numbers are nuts for SS ball.

He struggled in July. Word is that it took some time to adjust to pro pitching after being with such a small school. He had crazy power numbers in August. Big, strong kid. Might be a deep sleeper for an org that's really short on power.

He'll be one I keep my eyes on next year for sure. Delmarva and Frederick are going to have some real talent. For as thin as our org is up top, I like a lot of lower level guys right now. My follow list is like a page long.

Big Yaz fan, and Mancini I liked as a mid round guy, but he's doing very well (although I think too advanced for SS). Kemp is one I'm really interested in right now too.

Kinda hard to scout during a pitching duel, but hope you guys get some great baseball out of the deal.

How is Vader progressing on that "out-pitch?"

I know he's got a good ground ball pitch, but has he figured out something for 2-strike counts yet? (Key to Wright's step forward this year).

Change is still a work in progress for Vader. It's the only reason I think he is still in Aberdeen.

Curveball from Vader has really improved from the start of the season. Really flashed a few good ones tonight. Again, I think Vader is a level too low right now. Would have probably held his own at Delmarva.

I get the thought process to work on individual pitches, but when you are talking about curves and changes, no one is going to be able to hit those until you get to Frederick and Bowie anyway, so I agree that I probably would have moved him up earlier.

Then again gotta take into account schedules and rosters too I guess. I like the raw potential though.
