My top two are Game Of Thrones and Curb Your Enthusiasm. I watch all the other big shows like Breaking Bad, Homeland, Dexter, etc. but none of them are nearly as good IMO as GoT or Curb.

I've never seen Game of Thrones and it doesn't strike me as something I'd be interested in, but maybe i'll check it out.

I'm kind of biased towards it since I read the books and was a fan of the series before it became a show.

1) The Simpsons (though it's dropped off and in all honesty probably hasn't been the same since Conan left and we lost Phil)
2) Seinfeld
3) Six Feet Under
4) The Walking Dead
5) South Park
6) House

I'll have to think about this more and update it when I get home.

Lemme get two claps and a Ric Flair

Hahaha, spot on caveats there.

I didn't think I would like it either but its really good...Some of the sci-fi/magic stuff I can do without but other than that, its awesome.

It has a lot of characteristics of Rome, which was excellent too.

I'm big into the fantasy/sci-fi stuff as a lot of people, so one way I've always kind of looked at that stuff in shows like GoT or movies like LoTR, etc. is that through the lense of those living during this time frame, a lot of weird things that happened to them were probably perceived as magical/sci-fi'sh. That helps me view it as still realistic, but telling the story through the lense of those living it.

Thanks to a reminder in another thread, I would like to add My Boys to my list right in between Parks and Community.

What a great show.

Bump.

Has the conclusion of Breaking Bad affected your ranking of it at all?

Nope, Entourage still sucks. :)

Seriously, I might move Breaking Bad to #1, but maybe I'm just being reactionary..

Never watched an episode of Breaking Bad. But I don't even remember The Sopranos finale being this buzzed about.

I guess I'll have to check it out to find out what all the fuss is about.

I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

It's not close to The Wire for me.

I don't think I can put Breaking Bad above The Sopranos or The Wire for me.

I think I still lean The Wire over Breaking Bad, but it's a tough decision. I was late to Sopranos and watched it a bit out of order, so it didn't grab me as much, through no fault but my own. I do think its a great show.

Breaking Bad was the better acted show. The Wire was more realistic. Pros and Cons to both. Its close for me.

I really need to go back and see how well some of the 90s tv I grew up on holds up.

For example, Beverly Hills 90210 I think was really good, at least the first 3-5 years but again it's when I was an impressionable teen.

Lost is still top 5 for me. The first show I really just dove into headfirst and became addicted to, but the last season really pissed me off and knocked it down out of the Top 3.

I said this in another thread somewhere awhile back. All in the Family still holds up well and is in my Top 6-7 as well.

24 was just a hell of a lot of fun. IN my top 5.

Deadwood was very good as well, but too short to crack my top 5.

I have to catch up on some more of the more recent shows but I cant see Game of Thrones doing anything for me. Probably not Mad Men either. Dexter is next up and Im intrigued by it.

Not a fan of Dominic West's Lauraville accent?
