They're heading in the right direction. If they can get Wiggins next draft they have as bright a future as anybody. Even if they don't and they get a top 3 pick they'll get a franchise player to go along with MCW, Young, and Noel and be in good shape.

Lemme get two claps and a Ric Flair

Just saw on the espn ticker that Noel is expected to miss the entire season b/c of his knee.
On my ipad or else I'd post a link.
Considering their plan, not much of a loss as long as he can be ready to go in 2014-15. Heck, if they were actually expecting to make a run at a playoff spot this season, I wonder if they would even be announcing this?

On PTI today one of the guys was talking about how (from some circles he was privy to, take that for what it's worth) sitting Noel all year was kinda maybe a round-about-way of just tanking the season to get the #1 pick and Wiggins next year.

Simmons has talked about that every time he's mentioned the Sixers all summer

It might be a smart move, but I don't like the whole "tanking" concept. One of the reasons I like the fact that the NBA has the lottery. Yes, I realize that the worst they can do is the 4th pick. I hope the league brass steps in if it's clear they aren't making a good faith effort to win games.

At this point I think the Sixers have that covered!
Wow...or is it all Brett Brown? I obviously expect a regression, but impressive start.

To think they will come into next season with MCW in his second year, Noel still 20 years old and likely with a much better shot, and two top 10 picks is pretty sick. They are setting themselves up nicely for the long haul.
