I thought the slots stopped all this madness? Man I am out of the loop.
Its not Bosa...Its the Chargers.   I can't remember the exact specifics but the way they structure the contracts for rookies is unlike any team in the NFL and its something that, IIRC, seems unfair to the player.  Bosa is basically just asking for the same contract structure every other rookie gets but SD does it differently and won't budge off of it.
How absurd is this? Wow.

Is this why Eli didn't want to go there?

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

"Now OPS sucks.  Got it."

"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."

"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

Bosa was asking for a lot of guaranteed money.

According to Profootballk on NBC Sports, Chargers holdout No. 3 overall pick Joey Bosa has offered to defer a "significant portion" of his signing bonus to March 2017.
It's the first sign of progress we've seen in weeks though Bosa's surprise peace offering still wasn't enough to close the massive gap that still exists between the two sides. Bosa has been working out in Florida but it's still unclear when we'll see him on a football field again. There's a very real chance this standoff could last into the regular season. The San Diego Union-Tribune's Michael Gehlken reports the Chargers recently offered holdout No. 3 overall pick Joey Bosa "their best offer," but Bosa rejected it and talks "are nowhere."
This is past being ridiculous, but it's only getting worse. There was a report earlier this week that the Chargers were willing to give Bosa $10 million of his $17 million signing bonus up front, but that's still not good enough for Bosa's camp. This looks like it could seriously linger into the regular season, and the Chargers have pulled their most recent offer. They also released a public statement, making this a PR war now. In the statement, the team said it'll have to now adjust any further offers because Bosa isn't going to be able to play all 16 regular-season games due to all the missed time. This is getting ugly. That's what it is...SD wants to defer a lot of the signing bonus. They always want to do that with rookies.

Wonder when they'll play him.  There's no way he's ready for week 1.

10-15 plays that say, run fast, hit QB.

Yea, he can do that week 1.

I thought they said he hasn't been working out.  It's not even just the playbook matter, is he even in football shape?

LA had already lost interest with the first new team, so why not make yourself the second?

An announcement as early as tomorrow.

The NFL's Relocation Dance Is Coming To A Head

It sure as heck sounds like the owners are disappointed with the Rams’ initial showing in L.A.—low ratings and a struggling, unloveable team—and are coming to terms with what the rest of the world has been saying for years: Until there’s proof Los Angeles can support one NFL team, maybe it’s bad business to cram two in there.

To be fair, they had that "new" team as recently as 1995. This "new" one has been gone since 1962.

So they've had even longer to become Cowboys and Steelers fans while they were gone.
