I agree with Thorne, they need a central ump for the replays to make it efficient.

Biggest argument amongst baseball fans.
The NL fans will lose the argument eventually.... the Union will never okay the loss of jobs (DH)... and year long inter-league play really dictates that there should be universal rules imo.
Giants get a break... Panda walks.... 2 on, none out.

Oh, that was horseshit.

That should be an out...
I usually try to rationalize the breaks but something so blatant like that bugs to me to no end, will even more so if it comes back to bite us.

Roger Kieschnick overmatched... didn't see that at Fresno. 1 out.

I think that was part of the rationale behind it, baiting the hook to make it easier to make the move later. I don't see any cons, unless you think that maybe a RP in the NL loses a job to another hitter, but that's a stretch.

Blanco k's... and now the Giants bring up their pitcher with 2 out. Awesome.

Yeah I agree, I'm actually for pitchers batting (the principle of it), but I didn't like what I saw last series. Either way, it needs to be standardized. Are NL fans really going to stop watching baseball like they threaten? Makes little sense at this point with the rule being applied at all levels even among NL teams exclusively through A, and then only being used when both teams are NL teams.

Yep, I thought so too. That'll be a good day when that happens.

Yep.
Can you imagine if we had Ortiz or something as our DH, and we were on this road-trip? How pissed would you be?

Purists -- NL fans feel just as passionate as many on here do pro-DH.

It's hard getting four outs in an inning but Tillman did just that.

Vogelsong shockingly k's, and the Giants are done in the 2nd.
To the 3rd... Birds leading 2-0.

Not very - considering he's only useful because he decided to start juicing again when he was "washed up" a couple years ago.
