Stuffed on 3rd and goal... gong for it?
I had little doubt they would.

Another great run by Brown. Fantastic mobility today.

Wow. No one in the same area code. Great quick strike drive to steal the momentum back.

After the 64 yard Brown run, he finds a wide open Goins for another MD score.

This game is going to get to the point where you have the opportunity to give extended time to the depth. That is a good thing.

I'm not sure what you can take away from a game with FIU. But this is a game that the last couple years Maryland would either be losing, or making it closer than it should be. Like to see em put up a 60 spot like other good programs do against inferior teams.
Also helps that they have a QB this year.

Brown scores again, this time from 11 yards out.
MD's coaches said they were unsure about who the 2nd QB is... they will have extended time in the 2nd half for looks.

What a first half, and it could have been even better. Agree about how uncomfortable a game like this has been in recent history. They should be dominating, and the second half should be interesting. I said a 700-yard offensive performance would be nice after that 177-yard first quarter...hell, they're just about on pace for 800 now.

Would you rather see the backups come in and get extended time, trying to build the depth... or keep the starters in, and go for the video game numbers?

Brown is going to have video game stats at the end of this one.
I know someone who actually does fantasy college football. If the pros ever adopted the NCAA OT system, they'd almost have to stop counting stats after regulation, It just be unfair if a game went to 7 OTs.

I don't think you can take too much away but winning always beats losing. If they were struggling, it be a bad sign but you could also say they were playing down to the competition.

No reason to risk injuries IMO once the game gets out of hand.
