Here's my ZZ Top trivia.  There's only one guy in the band without a beard...  and his last name is Beard.

A coworker saw an ad years ago with a poster on our board at work for tickets available.

He was like, what the hell is 22 Top, never heard of them, are they new? :) :) :)

That's hilarious.

Damn. That ends their run as the longest running band with the original members still intact. Over 50 years.

I remember my dad talking about a ZZ Top concert he went to in the 80s. Seemed like it would have been a lot of fun.

I never saw them, however, I can believe that they were an excellent live band. When I was about 12 or 13, my buddy had their album Fandango. The first side was live cuts, and it was really good. It will be interesting to see if they forge on. Rush shut it down after Neil Peart passed away.

My understanding is they were already touring without him, due to what was publicized as a hip issue. Whether or not that had a role in his passing, I haven’t heard. Also haven’t heard if they plan to go on without him.

I saw ZZ Top play with Ted Nugent and KWS in the early 2000s. Great show.

ZZ Top and unapologetic rock and roll were completely synonymous.

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

I remember that 1980 Astros team, they had Nolan Ryan and Joe Niekro in their rotation along with JR. JR was on his way to what looked like a Cy Young type of season, but suffered a stroke halfway through and had to retire.

Charlie Watts

Why he once punched Mick Jagger in the face... in an Amsterdam hotel room...  and almost knocked him out the window and into the canal...

https://www.anorak.c...h-richards.html

Charlie also had a collection of great classic cars... but he never drove them... he never learned to drive, he never had a license... he just liked to look at them and sit in them... he'd start them up and rev the engine while he was sitting there, wearing the suit he had tailor-made specifically to wear for each specific car, and listen to the rhythm of the engine...

Actor Ed Asner.

Ed Asner's been in a ton of good things (and by most accounts seems like a great guy), but I will always know him as Ed Wuncler.

Without looking it up, do you remember his one off character he voiced for The Simpsons?
