I would imagine some of it is just the law of probability. The beaches in FL are very popular, they have a lot of coastline, and the water is usually a very comfortable temperature, so there are more people in the water than other places....hence, more mishaps. It's probably also a major reason why Florida has more shark attacks than anywhere else.

Not sure how I missed it, but former WWE wrestler and Terps D-lineman Darren "Droz" Drozdoff passed away last week. He was 54.

He really was a sad case, He got paralyzed in the ring. He was a popular guy at the fan sessions before WM and Summer Slam events.
RIP Droz.

Somehow I didn’t realize he was a Terp.
John Harbaugh was roommates with Brian Pillman. That’s a crazy connection.

Drozdoff also had a brief NFL stint with the Broncos before going into wrestling. His football career was auspicious for one reason...he would almost always puke before/during games. He really gained notoriety during a MNF game when lined up for one play he actually puked on the football just before the snap. I forget whether or not he was called offsides for that.

Tony Bennett teaming up with Lady Gaga was about as eclectic as Bing Crosby doing "Silent Night" with David Bowie.

Wasn’t that “Little Drummer Boy”?
I believe You're correct.
I think Silent Night would have been a better choice.

Wasn’t that “Little Drummer Boy”?
You're right. It was actually "Peace on Earth" and "Little Drummer Boy."

Man this one hurts. I'm happy that she's now at peace, but woah boy. She not only spoke truth to power, she screamed it.
Rest in peace, Sinéad.

Yeah, basically destroyed her career and subjected herself to years of harassment by publicly pointing out that the Catholic Church had a problem with pedophilia... which was not really a popular view in the early 90's.
