Also, it's rumored that a Flash movie will be released in 2016.

Just read that Bryan Cranston is being targeted for the role of Lex Luthor. So much win if true.

I guess I'll be contrarian and say I like the casting.
Provided they cast Matt Damon as Robin. Giggity.

Didn't Affleck already ruin one comic book super hero? Now he's going for another?
I kinda hope this means he'll be directing Justice League now.

If they come back and say Kevin Smith is taking over the movie and doing JLA it'd make more sense.
Someone like Jeremy Renner would have made more sense. (Yeah I know he's Marvel property, but he's never gonna get his own movie from them, so I wouldn't be mad if he shopped around)

I still want Bryan Cranston as Lex Luthor.

A guy like Gerard Butler would have been good IMO.
Yeah, another good choice, even though his American accent is kinda weak. How about Jeffery Donovan from Burn Notice, or Matt Bomer even?

I actually like Affleck as Batman. He has been really good in his most recent movies. He does quiet intensity well, see the Town. He certainly has the physique and he has very much grown as an actor since Armageddon!
As said earlier, I think he'd be fine as Bruce Wayne, but I in NO WAY can buy him as Batman.
Anyone agreeing with this casting should immediately go watch Daredevil.

Daredevil the directors cut is way better than the theatrical version. Again, I think Ben has grown a lot as an actor in the last couple of years.

A lot of people thought Heath Ledger would suck as The Joker.
How'd that workout?

Saw this excuse last night too. The Joker isn't a physical character. A couple random swipes here or there, but he's not out there overpowering and fighting every person he sees like Batman does. That's where I don't buy Ben.
Also, he's been a great actor in the films he's directed (he's a great director), but aside from those last few movies, he's been god awful pretty much his entire career. I can't overlook that. It's not that he's grown, he just knows what he does best and can mold the role around his skillset, he can't do that in a superhero movie working for Zach Snyder.

Speaking of Donovan....watch Ray Donovan and tell me Liev Schreiber wouldn't be good as a "physical character".

Agreed. He's not who I would've picked but it makes perfect sense. Ben Affleck was hardly the reason Daredevil wasn't great. Jeremy Renner would be a terrible Batman.I actually like Affleck as Batman. He has been really good in his most recent movies. He does quiet intensity well, see the Town. I didn't like the news that Batman was going to be in a Superman movie, so I am even less impressed now that Affleck is Batman.
Affleck can be decent in certain roles, see Argo and The Town, but his new movie Runner Runner looks like vintage 1999 Affleck schlock.
I just wish they'd stuck with a Superman-only sequel. More superheroes doesn't always mean better.

I vote for Jason Lee for Robin.
