They are still around, and I went there a week ago and it was horrible.

Really? Wonder if it has gone downhill or what you got just sucked for some reason?

They have great chicken.

I'm not sure if they are still around or not but The Canopy is my favorite place like this. Great food.

They've gone way downhill.

I don't care how many times I hear it's the best, I don't think I could bring myself to actually stop at Chaps. I get itchy just driving past the Baltimore Gold Club.

The Canopy in Ellicott City is amazing. Best fries in the area.

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

Andy Nelson's for BBQ.

Yes. Used to work in Hunt Valley and was there way too often. Love that food.

For people to the south of the city, there's a new BBQ place - RG's BBQ - in Laurel that's been getting good reviews.  Their BBQ lamb shank was really good the time I went.

Also, a place called the BBQ Joint, which had been in Easton, just opened a second location in Pasadena.  I haven't been there, but it's supposedly good.

Went to Mission last night,

They have two new sauces, and both of them are terrific. Probably their best sauces yet. One is a smoky mountain sauce, really really good. The other is a spicy and sweet sauce.

I talked to their owner, he said that they were taking away of their lesser sauces and will be adding these new ones as replacements. It's a great upgrade IMO

Stopped there for the first time last night. Got the NC pork sandwich (with the slaw on top). Oh man, it was good.

I was driving near Glen Burnie last night so I stopped in and ordered some BBQ.  Got some pulled pork and some brisket and a few sauces.  Thought it was good, especially the brisket, very juicy.  Didn't love the sauces, I think I had the new ones - smokey mountain, alabama white, and georgia mustard or something like that.  They weren't bad, just not great either.  I preferred the meat on it's own or maybe with just a little bit of sauce.

I also like my pulled pork to be a little less pulled, theirs was almost shredded with very little bark.

The brisket was the superstar.  Great flavor and moisture and a real nice smoke ring to it.

I will say that it's pretty awesome this place serves beer in 16 oz cans.  I've gone here twice nursing a hangover and the heartyness of the food combined with the beer priming the pump and a couple of aspirin is a definite cure.

Yea, the Brisket is the best thing they have. I find it hard to not get it every time.

The sauces are gradually getting better. The thing I like is that they told me that they know improvements can be made and I have seen them attempting to improve. That's a good trait for me.

The new Smokey Mountain sauce seems to be very hit and miss. I think it's probably average, my friend LOVED it, and my other friend absolutely hated it.

I need to STOP going here actually. My best friend lives a minute away from the Glen Burnie location, and we are always going there haha.

Better sauces is absolutely the key to them.

I will try a brisket sandwich though...But until they get better sauces, there are many places I would go before them.

I thought the cornbread was good as well.  On the sweet side, but it was tasty.  I like the pieces of corn in the batter, a nice touch.

I actually haven't had that yet, good to know.

I really like their sides though.

This sounds about right.  Working in Rosedale, I end up having Chaps for lunch at least twice each week.

AN's is great, but living in Hamilton I find it hard to get past Big Bad Wolf if I'm going somewhere for BBQ.
