7 games over .500......... we're quickly fading. Be lucky to be over .500 by the end of the month.

The Orioles went 9-9 between June 18 and July 8. Over the same period last year, going into the break, they went 6-13. They were a game under .500 for June and July, then went 38-20 the rest of the way.

 

I'm not worried.

Not really. I expected this, so while it hurts it's not making me flip my lid.

 

 

It's really the reverse when Chicken Nickle comes out. When my expectations are high and we  play a bad game thats when Chicken Nickle comes out.

 

 

Right now, the team is legitamitely not playing well so I tend to not try and pile on with the Chicken Nickle stuff. In fact, its when I tend to be most calm and supportive.  

 

 

 

That said, you'll see me melt down if we can't halt this run soon.

And who do you suggest they replace him with? Dickerson?

C'mon BaltBird...

 

Not going to replace him after this season, but when his contract is up I'd look for another option. We don't need a low .700 OPS corner OFer with diminishing defense. If he's not going to hit for power he should at least be getting on base. Right now he's doing neither.

Nick can go. He doesn't add much of anything to the team. We don't need a slap hitting corner OFer who can only hit singles.

I've been saying that for years man. He's so overpaid it's ridiculous. I like the guy and all but they should really look at replacing him in the off season. If they are going to have a singles hitting OF at least let it be someone like McLouth who can steal bases.
