While I love that Buck argued that and got tossed, the call was correct unfortunately.

While I love that Buck argued that and got tossed, the call was correct unfortunately.
The result ended in the call being correct, however:
1.) The home plate umpire HAS to rule whether or not the batter made contact, that's his call and his call only
2.) The Umpire didn't signal it wasn't a foul ball, thus indicating to Davis he could run to 1st (which is why he stopped running to 1st bases)
That is an irreversible call. That is absolutely horrendous.

Angel Hernandez is sooooooo bad at his job.
I seriously don't know how he holds a job as a MAJOR LEAGUE ump...he has to be one of the worst umpires game in and game out I've ever seen honestly. He did not ask for help from the 1st or 3rd base umpire initially and made hte call, so only by John Gibbons' arguing did he, then they overturn it?! Complete horseshit...get me a damned beer...
