As I said when Lebron went to Miami, I think teaming up with Wade and Bosh really forever prevented him from being considered as the possible GOAT.

I don't buy that. All the players in the discussion had at least one superstar teammate.

I really REALLY hope he's not implying that LeBron was not as good as Scottie Pippen.  What a space cadet.

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

He was kind of all over the place with his comments. I think the primary point was that the late 80's, early 90's was a more physical era; and that would have caused differences in how James plays vs. how he plays in today's game.

While he said his Bulls teams would easily beat Miami, he also Miami had better talent. While he said James would be an average player in that era, that was followed a sentence later by saying James is great.

James defintely would have taken more of a beating in the 80s and 90s. How, if any, that would have changed his overall game is unknown. He still would have been a star.

I'm far from a Lebron lover, but he would have been even more far superior physically to those in that era than he is to those in the current era. Would he have gotten more hard fouls? Maybe. He would have dominated though.

Pretty idiotic overall comments from Rodman. Lebron is ahead of his time as is. Hell, he might have been more successful 20 years ago. I do think it's cute how so many older era players defend themselves and their era against the current players.

Only thing Dennis is right about is, that Bulls team would beat this Heat team. But that Bulls team would beat nearly all teams. If he would have stuck to that, he'd be good.

Yep....but some of that is true. Miami probably does have more pure talent but that doesn't make them a better TEAM....and I agree.

I think Rodman is trying to say that as great as LeBron is, that he wouldn't be as good if he played in the Bulls era.

You're title should be "Emotional Game Thread/LeBron Guy".

Great posts Adam. Most players will attempt to defend their "era" as supreme. I do think that was the golden age of basketball, but I'm defending the NBA I grew up watching, which makes me a bit biased, too. See, that's what I'm talking about.
