I do not envy Astros fans right now.  We know their pain too well.  It's unbelievable how much better it is not having to watch this type of a team everyday anymore.

I know what you are saying, but I somewhat disagree.

My biggest pain during our years of losing, is that we did it incorrectly. We seemingly had a goal of 70 wins and being respectable, which I think delayed our ability to bottom-out completely and get back to competitive ball quicker. Houston is going through some horrible baseball (after a decade plus quality run), and they will continue to be horrible for awhile... but they've brought in some interesting baseball minds, and I think are doing things correctly.

The next 2 years will likely go very slow for their fans... but by 2016, they could be the verge of another run of long, sustained success.

The netting visible in all the infield shots is funny.

Davis follows the Machado single, with one of his own. 2 on, 2 out in the 7th.

Nice quick inning from O'Day there.

On to the 8th, time to tack on some extra runs.

Lemme get two claps and a Ric Flair

Masn has really been pissing me off lately.  No reply on that near double from Jones yesterday, no replay on the Gonzalez behind the back almost catch earlier today, and that debacle with the Flaherty foul ball.  I still have no idea what happened on that hit by Flaherty.  None.

At least you can watch them. I'm 350 miles from Houston but awesome blackout policies leave me no way to see the Orioles when they play the Astros (Rangers too.)

O's always play to the situation. If they fall behind by 5 runs it's almost a lock they will battle and put up runs to get back in the game.

If they have a lead they rarely blow the game open.

So frustrating.

That's the first time I remember Flaherty botching a play we needed so far this season.  Bad time for an error.

Tailor made!  Still hate that HBP.  Hope it just slipped and not him being rattled by the error, but I know which way I'm leaning.
